I recently visited the home where I spent my childhood and young adult years.  It belongs to someone else now and I can't help feeling wistful about it.  It was a wonderful place to grow up and I am so thankful for these memories.
The image is an oil painting by my husband Michael and is the view from the front porch.

The mist and the landscape evoke memories of the poet's childhood, and she longs to return to the time when she felt safe and happy under her father's roof. There is also an acknowledgment that a time has passed, and the melancholy that something will never be the same.

Symphonic Studies No.1

This theme has had to wait until I had sufficient sequencing skills to attempt it. It has an irresistible (to me) ascending momentum, as it cycles through the major keys.  I just figured out this is in part due to it being in Mixolydian mode, which is entirely a serendipity!
This is the largest sound I have attempted so far, and my orchestration "skills" are very obviously nascent, so feedback is welcome.

Hello, Freind. Thank you for visiting my page.
This is essentially a sketch pad, as I learn to develop musical ideas; it's a bucket-list project, really. Soundcloud is a great motivator for actually finishing tracks.
These tunes flicker like fish in the depths of my subconcious.
They are the memories of lives unlived.
