Vinylgroover has been on the scene from 1992 and is one of the true Hardcore pioneers. His producing years kicked off in 1994 when he was signed to Hectic Records, delivering us his first track, the truly spine-tingling 'Phantasm'. Teaming up with fellow south coast hero, Ramos, this record was one of the biggest tracks '93-'94. With it's incredibly beautiful piano riff and abundance of emotion, the track takes any crowd up to the clouds and beyond. He rapidly built up a repertoire of hits including, 'Nostalgia', 'Groove Control' and the fantastic 'Take It From The Groove', Vinylgroover was not just the master of the melody and heavenly pianos but also song writing. Most of his vocals take you to that special place only he and Happy Hardcore can.

In the first of a few mixes devoted to the legend himself, I focus on the earlier Vinylgroover material, including most of the excellent Midas (With Scott Grayston) releases. Vinylgroover did phenomenal things for the Hardcore scene and it's great to see him back in business. I hope I do his music justice.
