A song inspired by a friend of mine who calls herself "The Queen of Chaos". I found this phrase really inspiring and started to create a character in my head, the lyrics describe the traits of this character and the situations that she finds herself in.

"Shelves" (Demo) with Romy Deighton

A song about supporting a friend with seasonal affective disorder in Autumn. This is the first collaboration between Tora Luna, Dominic Johnson and Gus White (producer). Around the time of recording the song, we were talking a lot about the impact of AI on the music industry, AI generated music in particular. We said that we wanted to create something that felt really playful and human with intentional mistakes. We achieved this by recording without a click track and intentionally speeding up and slowing down together. We hope that people can hear the playfulness when listening to the track.

Hi, we’re Alex and Dom. In an alternate universe we’d have pursued being staff writers in Motown or Nashville. But after spending a couple of years co-writing with scores of people, we got bored of seeing dozens of songs get stuck on hold and left unreleased. We believed that the songs we were writing deserved to be heard as we knew they could put a smile on someone’s face or a spring in their step. So Tora Luna was born - two songwriters collaborating with other talented musicians to ensure that our music gets out into the world! We hope you enjoy what you hear! :)
