Alpha Media is a growing radio broadcast media company that has a passion for outstanding radio and digital content. Our philosophy is to be smaller, faster, bolder, and work as a team at all levels. Alpha Media, headquartered in Portland, Oregon was formed by veteran radio executive, Larry Wilson in August 2009 and was originally named Alpha Broadcasting. Alpha Broadcasting initially acquired six Portland radio stations; KINK-FM, KUPL-FM, KUFO-FM, KCMD-AM, KXL-AM and KXTG-FM.

In 2012, L & L Broadcasting was established and began acquiring stations across the country. On July 1, 2014, L & L Broadcasting and Alpha Broadcasting merged, creating Alpha Media. Between the original Portland stations and the new transactions, Alpha Media owned 135 radio stations in 28 markets across the US.

In the beginning of 2016, Alpha Media acquired 114 stations from Digity, LLC. Upon the successful completion of all pending transactions, Alpha Media will own or operate 250 radio stations within 51 markets across the US.

As Alpha continues to grow we still follow our philosophy of keeping radio Live and Local in each of our markets. Alpha Media stations work closely with each of our local communities and advertisers.

Our formats include Top 40, Adult Contemporary, Spanish, Urban, News Talk, Sports, Rock, Country and more. In addition to the radio stations; Alpha Media owns the intimate performance venues, Skype Live Studio in Portland, Oregon and Alamo Lounge in San Antonio, Texas.
