A: "All dance floor experiences that moved me have happened surrounded by the love of friendship. MUSA parties make me very emotional because the passion for music transcends and invades the atmosphere with pure joy, especially the last one at Razzmatazz with an improvised b6b closing <3"

Drazzit is a Barcelona-based DJ, producer and co-founder of @mmuussaa. As a discernible selector, their DJ sets simmer between stomping techno, squelchy acid and sparkly trance, merging old-skool sounds with more recent releases. They regularly play out on the local BCN scene with the MUSA collective, but they've never played in London — until NOW. Drazzit will join us on 11th November, marking their UK debut in true style. Get to know them ahead of the night via TM8 #33, taking us through Drazzit's collection of nostalgic melodies and big aul bangers.

A: "I struggle to find the time for making music and going out as much as I used to, so these days I prefer to save my energy for special nights. However, if I had to choose, I would go for Säule (Berghain) due to its intimate size, carefully curated line-ups and atmosphere at Thursday events, and RSO for the sound system and wide variety of parties."

Polish DJ and producer Agata shares a luminous mix to ease us into the week. Layered with trance-infused techno, psy and tek, the Berlin-based artist blends dreamy melodies, sturdy drums, rippling basslines and spacious sound design into one sleek package. Since her first EP, "Realign", which she self-released last year, Agata has contributed her enchanting tracks to labels like @deestricted, @nobordersmusic, @mmuussaa and our own label, tm8.club, where she delivered the club-cut track "Drip". Affiliated with Berlin-based @blvsh_collective, which supports *FLINTA artists in the local scene, you can find Agata playing at M01 on 13.04 for the BLVSH x EVOLVE showcase.

My next guest on Yax Invites is Nashville based DJ & Producer, Blaine Mason.

Blaine Mason is a tested mediator between tension and release. Founder of the party-series-turned-label PHAASER, Mason has brought a neurotic and striking style of techno and dance to the city of Nashville, TN.

His mixes span all eras and moods; from classic raw techno to modern polished minimal, to filthy 2000’s schranz to current-day breakbeat, electro and dub techno.

Co-founder of local venue/label Disctrix, Mason’s focus on blending classic dirty analog sounds with polished modern moods has introduced locals to the new era of techno while keeping its origins apparent and forward on the floor. His original productions focus on groove and shuffling drum sequences that create a lively high-energy environment while still keeping dense atmospheres and entrancing moods intact. Mason’s releases have found a home through many established labels such as Hybrid Productions, PHTM, Darkroom Bureau, Radiance, and Murk Records

“Like most of my recordings, I wanted this mix to reflect what our dancefloors feel like in Nashville. The crowd here likes things raw and rowdy, but also really appreciates the break in energy with more contemplative tracks which you’ll hear in the back half of this mix. But once the dancers have caught their breath, they’re ready to cut the rug back up with some hard punchy techno, breakbeat and electro. I wanted this mix to capture the Nashville peak-time hour and all of the moods and energies you feel in those moments. 615 is alive!!!”

She recently made a name for herself, not only with her event series in New York City, but also with great releases on her own label, as well as a mindblowing electronica piece on Get Physical Music called "Fall" which you shouldn't miss to check out.

ara is a new record label curated by David Letellier, a.k.a Kangding Ray.
ara is a platform for recording artists with unique sonic identities that seeks to induce deep emotion
through sound ; focusing on singular artistic endeavours, created with patience and dedication.
While rooted in electronic club music, ara will not follow any prescribed sonic path :
it will explore a palette of diverse sound worlds who evolve through parallel series of curated
releases. Each series will represent either a concept or a particular musical direction, which will be
mirrored by its own design approach.
Since releasing physical records is increasingly becoming an irrational choice, each record will be
irrationally produced as an hand-made work of art, involving procedures and techniques such as
manually-applied ink, brushed acrylic paint or tape. Each edition will be individually numbered,
recognisable as a part of a whole, while being slightly different by nature.
The first release, by label curator Kangding Ray, will be the first step of this journey : organic,
emotional club music, for the body and mind.
The following releases for 2019 will come from Adiel, Refracted, Hydrangea and Voiski
