It is with a feverish excitement that we can finally announce the next EP in our catalog from our newest addition to the Second State family: Amelie Lens. Besides being quite a multi-talented virtuoso, the Belgian artist comes in hot and heavy for her debut release ‘Let It Go’ and with it showcases her prowess for dark, cutting-edge techno. Over the span of four tracks Lens takes us on a tour-de-force journey into the cerebral spaces of large, dark rooms and flashing strobe lights. Kicking things off is the hypnotically inducing 'Wild' with looping vocals laid over an ever increasing pressure of percussion and white noise. Much like the EP opener, 'Linger On' casts the same spell yet picks up the pace with racing snares and meteoric synth washes creating a deeply euphoric ride. The title track ’Let It Go' is up next and is by far the most 'cheeky' tune of the EP with a twisted acid line swirling around the constant begging of Lens’ voice encouraging you to "Let It Go, Let It Out". Rounding out the EP is 'The Finest Hour' and Lens wraps up her debut with the most psychedelic cut of the package. Low rumbling bass tones and spaced out pads over sparse drums leave lots of room for the imagination providing each listener to create their own journey to navigate. If this is Amelie Lens' debut with us, we expect a lot of very big things to come from the young Belgian and so should you. Welcome Amelie Lens!

Amelie Lens’ EXHALE imprint launches with a myriad of uncompromising techno tracks from the underground’s finest established and aspiring artists. 

EXHALE’s much anticipated first release continues the legacy of the EXHALE event series with a fifteen original track compilation featuring old and new friends from each avenue of the underground. With a shared love of rave culture, the label is a platform for the forward-thinking while simultaneously paying homage to foundations of techno. With this in mind, Amelie gathers familiar faces and upcoming artists to deliver the future sounds of techno. 

Spanning to each dark corner of the technosphere, the compilation fosters a range of sound that exhibits each artist’s production taste and background. @amelielens & EXHALE events mainstay @airodmusic open proceedings with the ascending ‘Adrenaline’, featuring acid lines and hypnotic vocals, with Spanish techno veteran @regalmusic driving on with authoritative speed and neurotic alarms in ‘Spreading the Cult’. Following his debut on LENSKE, Amelie welcomes @ahl-iver to bring an acid flavour to this compilation along with French talent @feliciemusic, who builds tension early on with raucous track ‘The Devil Himself’. @utobscure0010 & @shdw-music follow with ‘Brennende Erde’, inducing a state of trance with whirring atmospherics. 

Next up is notable Berlin based producer @klangkuenstler with ‘Engelsblut’, an oscillation of stabbing keys, sinister drones and unrelenting hi-hats before transitioning into ‘Take Two’ from @remy-x, whom Amelie discovered after his stand-out EP on Coincidence Records last year. DJ/Producer at the forefront of French techno @antigone proceeds with ‘U Tell Me’, along with @brecc who incorporates industrial elements and thundering bass with track ‘Vox’, continuing with Antwerp producer @lukasfirtzer’s ‘Excessus’, packed with shifting percussions and tenacious melodies. 

Purveyor of modular techno @mrdmrdmrd combines layered atmospherics and euphoric pads in ‘Reach my hand’, followed by Mehen (aka @hadonesector) who maintains pace with his rendering ‘Broken Whisper’, with a disorentiating and melody driven expedition from @francoisx next to switch up momentum. Promising upcoming Dutch producer @gracedahl ensues with the merciless ‘Vermilion Empire’, while production virtuoso @dyenmusic nods to EXHALE’s roots in rave culture with ‘Fantasy’, a medley of spiked vocals and ethereal synths that maintain the energy until the final kick.

"Follow Me" is the second release to be published by Tragedie, the brand new label created by German-duo Teenage Mutants. On this EP the German producer stays true to their development effectiveness principles, which are intertwines the sounds of Melodic and cavernous Deep with the muscles of Techno music. As usual, late night driving tunes at an infectious speed with crisp percussion adding bite. They have a unique ability to genre-blend while maintaining a signature sound. trndmsk: What inspired you to produce the EP?

Teenage Mutants: To tell the truth, nothing specific. It just shows the sounds and style we really are into at this very moment. After 7 years of releasing music from deep to tech house, from melodic techno to peak time techno – we had all chances to explore our music. At the moment we focus only on techno. In this particular release, same with the previous “What We Think” along Giorgia Angiuli, you will feel a mix between techno and melodic parts. (...)
