I played my piccolo bass through a "pipe organ" effect and learned the Bach piece Jesu Joy of Man's Desire. I then added Fender P bass, strings, harpsichord, organ and brass. Drums played by Drew Paradine and intro guitar, nylon guitar and middle solo are Damian Fanelli.

Back in the 1720's, Johann Sebastian Bach wrote Bourrée in E minor and the locals loved it! Around 250 years later, Jethro Tull recorded their rendition of Bourée and put it on their second LP Stand Up released in 1969. It was also a single. I've always liked the bass on it and so I recorded it last month. I used my Fender Jaco fretless Jazz bass to duplicate Glenn Cornick's line. Ian Anderson's flute was covered with my piccolo bass. At 1:19 Damian Fanelli comes in with a tasty solo and rhythm guitar. At 2:07 you'll hear my 8-string bass. Drew Paradine was swell enough to record some nifty drums last night. Thanks Drew! The final chord is the 8-string again. Bon appetite!
