Damit präsentiert das Imprint den Sound einer Stadt, in der weit mehr in Bewegung ist als ein paar Schiffe. Die EP „Teknomusi“ ist mit vier Werken bestückt, die gemeinsam am 26. Anthony Godin aka THe WHite SHadow (FR) is a French producer who is releasing quality music on great labels as Suara, Katermukke, Einmusika and Chapter 24. On the debut release of Nagual Research label he combines beautiful melodic soundscapes with strong beats for the dance floor! The two original tracks 'Alone' and 'Last Of Us' are inviting us to a transcendental trip and soothe the body & soul.

The young and talented Greek duo Dizharmonia from Steyoyoke fame share an enchanting and dark vision of 'Last Of Us'. The give their remix their own signature sound with aggressive basslines and wicked synths!

Our techno boys from the upcoming label WOOD will be releasing their first Various Artist Compilation called "Secret Garden Vol. 1", which consists of really decent tracks and might be my personal favorite release of them. They introduce us to really new names, as well as some old family members of their team :  New to the crew is Hioll, who brought us a staggering minimalistic, but also heavy pushing techno production with the name of "Balthazar", which is able to guide us through atmospheric zones, filled with dark basslines & wobbling synths bouncing off each other to create a drastically filled space, that still convinces as a minimalistic techno-formula.

WOOD's Various Artists Compilation "Secret Garden Vol. 1" will be released on the 13th of February, exclusively on Beatport.

From their early days running the famed event series known as Neon Liger, the two have spent time dedicating their craft in the studio and are now ready to continue to show the world what they’ve been cooking up.

“This record started off as an idea that stemmed from going out one night in Osaka, Japan. The dark and grittiness of the streets as well as the views of the 16th-century shogunate castle left me with this feeling of being in another time. The writing process began later that morning after we had explored what this historically merchant city had to offer. Identity unknown - little is known about them besides this intriguing two-line bio…

"Bleak house is systematic rebellion, spirit of revenge, will to power, cathartic frustration, beauty of the horrid, melancholy, opacity, insomnia.

Bleak House makes expansive yet claustrophobic, narrow, constricting, dry, cavernous, wide, reverberant, percussive, danceable sounds."

The sounds match those sentences: A piano poignancy lulls amid the trembling textures of 'Ghost Walk', a track that lives up to both title and bio and leaves you under no uncertain terms to what Bleak House is all about: timeless, evocative technoir.

'Steel & Iron' follows with a pulsating bass that throbs from left to right and rising rhythmic shots tessellate in momentum. Settling into a warm, dubby, rolling groove it's heads-down harmony for everyone in earshot. Understated.

This stirring first impression session concludes with 'Telescopic Philanthropy'. Not just a perennially on-point Dickens reference but classically trained tech with a precision balance of trancey uplift with its pensive arpeggio.

First impressions last and it's safe to say these will last a long time. Bleak House have done themselves proud… Whoever they are.
