Hey there! I thought I would share my current recreation of the riff synths in Take On Me. I have been working on this for years (ask any of my friends haha).

I currently have the riff with two Juno layers (Playing high part and the low that comes in), a DX7 piano patch and  PPG wave long release sound. The DX7 and high Juno parts are actually played on the PPG wave 2.2 but I still haven't managed to find the exact wavetables they used (If you have any insight, it'd be muchly appreciated!)

This is hopefully the first of many tracks I'm going to try post of the next coming while. Hope you enjoy!

I made this back in 2017 when i was first getting into music and I have really changed much since then apart from a few extra little layers over the top. I am pretty sure i made it after having that slowed down version of It's Your Move by Diana Ross (I think it was called makintosh) was played over those 'satisfying' videos on youtube. It's funny where inspiration comes from sometimes haha.

If this version is well received, I might have a go at getting some lyrics (not mine) or mastering it properly haha.

This track I actually made back in 2021 and haven’t really changed much since. It thought it had a cool vibe to it. My thoughts on it were of some character on the beginning of his journey through space as it has this sort of optimistic feel to it. The galloping kick and marching snares kinda drive it forward a bit.

I think my inspiration was blue monday and everybody wants to rule the world but it was mostly me fooling around as I had just got a new midi controller that had drum pads on it and I wanted to use them. It was also the first time I got to use a pitch wheel on my songs.

Yes I need to find a proper name but this will do for now  

Posting a new song I've been working on over the past couple weeks. I really liked the chords so I decided to make a song that builds upon those. This was also me giving an attempt at doing synth solos so it's a bit cheesy but I still think it's pretty cool (Maybe I'll practice my scale a bit more)

I'd love any feedback if you have a recommendation for what I could change or add, I'd love to hear!!

Trying to write a song based on how a cloudy/overcast day makes me feel. I always find they have a relaxing airy feel to them and this is a interpretation I have of it.

I filmed it on my phone which is why there are scratchy sounds but this recording was so good so I kept it.
