Incudes track by: Yolanda, Gat Decor, Rufus Du Sol, Ali Wilson and Matt Smallwood, Mark Knight, Nasser Baker,  I generally get bored very quickly by DJ sets that I find boring....this is primarily DJ sets that are single genre beyond about 5 tunes in a row of "piano house" or "trumpet techno" or "tech house"  etc,,,,(which probably ISN'T REAL tech house at all....see SWAG records, and the amazing DJ's associated with SWAG and it's got zip to do with what's called tech house these days).....so this set wanders around a lot. This isn't a laboratory, or a lavatory....if you like it, it's good, if you don't then it's not. You're in charge of your tastes and requirements...not me.

This is a collaboration with my buddy and mentor Ali Wilson, and is one of 17 tracks on his magnificent album, Tabula Rasa which was released on Tidy Trax, https://www.tidytrax.co.uk/ali-wilson-tabula-rasa-untidy-trax/  Originally we started work on this track around 2012 but my commitments with my bands and Ali's label Tekelec prevented us from completing it. We got together recently and updated it, but couldn't get clearance on the sample we originally wanted to use, so Ali worked his magic and created the alienesque type voice heard throughout the track. Ali and I started work on this in 2012, after I played him the original track cos I knew he'd love it. We contacted the producers who did the original to ask if we could use the vocal sample. The singer said yes so long as they like the track, so I sent them a rough mix down and they loved it so she said she'd ask the rest of the band.....and then we never heard from them again...so we couldn't release officially. Regardless, here it is.

This was my entry into the Mixmasters House Bootcamp.  It didn't make it to the final 8, out of which 2 tracks were signed to their label but I learned a lot and it taught me that I can make a great track in 6 days when I put my mind to it. It got great feedback from the coaches and Murdocco loves it as well.  Mastered by Ali Wilson.

Originally made in my very early Ableton days, Ali was keen to get this into Logic so we could work on it together, and this is the result.  This version originally went to a label but as I ripped the vocal from a BBC TV show, they wouldn't touch it.  You can't win 'em all.

I don't really play this genre any more so it's a nice change to pull so many great tunes out that I and maybe others haven't heard for a while.
