After hearing a couple songs by Selina, you're probably thinking, "Wow, I love her voice! The lyrics, the
swift alternations between melancholy and dreaminess give her style a unique touch and her music
reminds me of something." That could be the soulful lyrics by Alicia Keys, the unmistakable voice of
Amy Winehouse or the musical depth, that Billie Eilish brings to her work, just to name a few artists
that influence Selinas art. 

But what truly sets her sound apart from so many others is her sensitivity to
storytelling. Through her own lyrics, all heavily autobiographical, who do not have to shy away from
comparisons to the greatest, she takes us on a journey through her innermost being. Her song might
be about falling in love and being alone again after that feeling has passed. She might tackle depression
and self doubt that comes with it but to never truly lose yourself despite having to struggle – she
manages to touch her listeners on a deeply personal level.

In 2020 she release her first single "California Dream".Around the same time, she met Anselm, who quickly became her producer. Their shared love for musicmakes them get along effortless and it shows in their collaborations, especially on their 22’ EP “I’m Drowning”.
