Hua Chenyu, commonly known as Hua Hua, is well known for his powerful vocals, dramatic stage performance and talents in composing. He is often recognized as one of the most influential singer-songwriters under 30 in China. In Singer 2018, his rearrangements have earned him rising popularity in China. During the show, he won the first place in four episodes, and his average percentage of votes ranked 2nd among all the previous contestents in 6 seasons. In the finale episode, Hua Hua's performance of "Light Years Away" with G.E.M brought him into the Top Four. His final performance of Angela Chang's song "Shout", earned him second place, after Jessie J. Hua Hua's performance of his self-written song “Heaven’s Equal" won Most Popular Song of the show.

Although this album contains multiple elements such as pop, alternative rock, folk and classical music, it tells a complete story of a solitary from different sides, just like the lyric says, "Quasimodo’s Gift is to enjoy the loneliness".
