It was a dark night of the soul alright. A breath taking night sea journey underway and only the belly of the whale to hold me close and tight. Every time fear paralyzed my fragile heart, I reminded myself that I was burning beyond my means, Night and day, Day and night. The point was to keep the humor of life politically poetic, poetically alive, A laugh in each tooth with a toothy grin for each passing tide, Pain my life-affirming mirror, Love, my diligent joy and pride.
