A digital eulogy for the internet we lost.

"Connection Lost" is an 8-track concept album from bitwize, a grizzled veteran of the hacker scene who came up through BBS boards at 2400 baud, watched the web explode with promise, and lived long enough to see it all get paved over by corporations and surveillance capitalism.

Part memoir, part manifesto, part funeral rite—the album traces the arc of digital culture from its scrappy, weird, beautiful beginnings to its sanitized, monetized present. 

Each track is a timestamp in the slow death of the open internet.

The album opens with a modem handshake and closes with a carrier signal fading to silence. In between: BBS nostalgia, early web chaos, the hacker golden age, LAN parties at 3AM, the corporate takeover, and a eulogy for every dead link and digital friend who logged off and never came back.
