Threes and Nines were a three piece band from the Central Coast of California. Their self-titled album was produced by the singer of the Violent Femmes, Gordon Gano. 

The band signed a deal with Universal Records and later partnered with Sony. The group paired up with a booking agent under the Paradigm Talent Agency. They were added to a roster of artists that included Fiona Apple, Vampire Weekend, Dr. Dog and The Specials. Many songs from this album were featured in movies, sitcoms, pilots and commercials
