"Catch my breath and I lose my mind"...such a great hook. Love this. But then, what of yours have I heard that I don't!

On your cloud playing lots of your toons. So its law, well mine anyway, go check this top toon out again. Ive listened so many times now that Im starting to strip down in sections/parts why I love it so much. Lets start with the groove. Yoshi has a great touch, light and shade as and when required. The bass sits, does its stuff, keeping the groove melodically interesting and giving plenty of room for the brilliant guitar work. Then theres your vocal. Its real, raw, totally fabulous. Sometimes live takes can have that something and this has just that.

That little "catch my breath" at the end of each line has just the right hook to it - I kept wanting you to sing it again.  Rhythm to this one ambles right along & works just great.

Main parts --- nylon and steel string acoustic with some electric guitar overdubs later. A kind of study, with some almost experimental electric guitar ornaments. Recovered the acoustic guitar files, fixed them up, and glued it together! A bit of unevenness in the quality means best on earphones I think.

"Neil Young's "Mansion on the Hill" is a poignant song that delves into the themes of longing, nostalgia, and the pursuit of the American dream. Released in 1990 as part of the album "Ragged Glory," this track showcases Young's unique ability to craft lyrics that evoke deep emotions."
Neil recorded this tune with electric guitar. I suppose if he had did an unplugged version it may sound something like this.

Watchglass are a duo. We like exploring 
musical directions and having fun making songs and albums. We have been working as a partnership since 2017, or most of the time since then. Gina is the singer and lyricist. Mark is the guitarist and everything else and makes the songs and is the one who Gina will forever hold responsible for showing her she could not only sing well enough to front a band but also write passable, and sometimes even excellent songs.... Happily we found each other again after a longish split.
