Bubba Wants A Moon Pie

A friend of mine has a severely autistic son who is now in his early 20's. He can't speak and has the mind of someone around three years old- but that is determined by the way we think.  Who knows how complex his thinking really is.  His name is Lorenzo. He loves to do puzzles and listen to music. 

One afternoon as I was laying the piano track for this music,  my son was talking to the mother on speaker phone and Lorenzo could hear me playing the piano.  He stopped doing his puzzle to listen.  That is how he connects. He loves music. When I heard that I knew I needed to finish this music for him. I haven't seen this friend for a very long time but she is coming to visit in a few weeks and I will be meeting Lorenzo for the first time. I wonder,  will he recognize the music?

Lately I've been working on a piano version to this song, I love it on guitar but had to give it the feelings from those eighty eight keys. It's similar to the other version but has some different flares and melody from the keys, which I liked. Also, I sang it a bit different too, it's just what the keys do.  I did this live recording way late last night close to 3am. I thank a beauty that wishes to remain unknown, for the really incredible heartfelt lyrics.  Gave it my all, and gave it the best melody I could, cause where the lyrics came from just means the world to me...Her sweet heart, and this song will forever be incredibly special to me. Thanks to all who listens!:)
