Many Managers who try to lead organizational change keep "missing the mark".  Their frustration mounts until many 'give up.'  "I've tried so many times and none of my approaches work". What  they are really saying is "I haven't been able to allow then to work because I am unwilling to own my part".

for me good enough is not very good and this is the opportunity to leave average and to say, “My work is not just my job, it's my craft!"

liked because you can change the world, it’s less about standing ovations for the real A-Player.

In legendary performance, it’s all about impact, it’s all about creating rich streams of value for as many people as possible to impact. Impact is really contribution, you want to be so good at what you do, you want to be so great in terms of your production, you want to be so courageous and brave in terms of your mindset that when you grow up in the world everyday you do amazing things, you make lives better, you make your customers dreams come true, you are an inspirational force in the world....

As a child if I could dream it or imagine it, then I could do it. Everything that could be dreamed between my ears was possible when I didn't know any better.

I could do everything I wanted to do: become a world cup football player, sail around the globe, climb Mount Everest, save the world from destruction, be a fireman, travel to the moon or Mars.....

I was a great admirer of Thor Hyerdahl, the Norwegian explorer, one of the first books I read was Kon-Tiki - the 1947 voyage in a handmade raft of balsa logs from Peru to Polynesia. He was a man who Set His Own Compass he followed his own dreams - not that of others.
