Hailing from two fundamentally different countries, Turkey & Poland, the fascinating duo Mahlukat managed to create unexpected but natural synergy between themselves, resulting in a mesmerizingly dreamy listening experience.
Singer/violinist Güldeste Mamaç & percussionist Kasia Kadłubowska met each other in Stuttgart, Germany back in 2014 and have been creating beautiful cinematic/world music ever since, defying genre borders.
Güldeste has had her musical education in Germany, Spain, and Turkey, and also spent several months in Varanasi, learning classical Indian music techniques on tabla, violin & vocals. Her style uniquely blends the melancholy of Anatolia, her Mediterranean roots, and Eastern influences.
Kasia graduated from the Academies of Music in Stuttgart & Gdansk and studied in the Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Danse in Lyon. After her classical music training, she learned Frame drums & Oriental drumming in Israel. She’s won numerous awards & scholarships and worked with a lot of different artists around the world, released in 11 albums so far.
Mahlukat’s latest collaboration is with established world-famous Bulgarian producer  - the 10-track album Dhumavati, set to release on June 17th.
Mahlukat have toured in Tel Aviv, Mitzpe Ramon, Jerusalem, Warsaw, Gdansk, Krakow, Basel, Rudolstad Festival, Tamburi Mundi Festival & more.
