It started off with a melody, and then some variations, more instruments, layering, a bunch of tweaking, and then some mixing (even though I know nothing about mixing and mastering ;P)

It's kinda messy, and the structure isn't really there but I still hope you enjoy it.

Also, the melody kinda reminds me gtmn the witch's slave (specifically 'furioso melodia'). I thought that was cool, it has that 'Baroque' style

First time using Soundtrap, I didn't know it was free, so i didn't use it all this time. If it sounds a little rough around the edges, it's because I find ST a little finicky to use, but maybe that's because it's my first time using it.
It's definitely a step up from my OS stuff, simply due to fact that there's more instruments, effects, and presets

I started with the drums, I wanted it to sound like drums Frums would make, so I created some really weird patterns, and used half of the fx available to me.
I picked the keys by listening to presets, and the bass is there because I just thought it could use some low-end.

I've started playing osu!droid and downloaded some goreshit songs, I like them. I've gotten a bit better at making these mini break songs, this song has a (relatively) nice structure to it imo. but yeah i'm still shit at making music but tbh I don't care cuz it's fun and I'll get better eventually if I keep at it.

I was listening to SCU's Animal Series and I loved it so much that I wanted to make a song in a style similar to the songs in it. I couldn't exactly capture the style, as SCU's melodies just have a melancholic undertone to them that is simply impossible to precisely replicate, but I think I did an okay job.
Crazy to think this WIP (work in progress) was made back in May (may 19th 2023), I haven't touched Soundtrap in a while

okay, so I've been wanting to make midwest emo since forever, and my friend said he'd give me a guitar, but my mom got sus and she told me to give it back, she wants call confirmation from his mom. but my friend is so retarded and lazy that it's somehow impossible for him to just fucking tell his mom to call my mom and tell her that "yes, we gave Liam permission to give Naeem the electric guitar". needless to say, i'm not getting that guitar, so I was thinking of combining edm / dance music with Midwest emo for a while now (eg using a synth instead of a guitar, drum machine instead of real drums). I thought to lean into the dance-y part, like take advantage of the unique style, so I made the drums sound super 909-y, and there's even an acid bass in it. I listen to a lot of midwest emo so I had an easy time with the guitar lick, mixing might be crap idk how to make the snare more punch without taking from the guitar (clashing mids) OHHHHH it's an arrangement issue, it's always arrangement!!
