'This Time’ is the lead single from the upcoming BirdyHop EP, ‘The Well’ - due April 2019. The song began life as a simple string motif after watching an inspired performance by Nitin Sawhney at the Globe Theatre. The melody quickly began to develop into something completely different, after layers of guitar and drum patterns were added. The mood of the emerging song dictated the vocals, which were written as a meditation on the struggles and heroism of the ordinary person.


’The Well’ is the result of an 18 month period of creative collaboration, reflection and discovery. The musical arrangements are as diverse as the lyrical themes, including classical orchestration, drum & bass patterns, glam rock guitar, and retaining the brothers' distinctive harmony vocals. Despite its eclectic approach the Well retains an honest and familiar emotional thread.
