Garageband Mixdown

This one I wrote a very long time ago. At the time I was lovesick, so of course I got shitfaced and went clubbing. I met a girl who’s name was Lara or Laura?..to be fair I do not remember the full details. 😅 Anyway.. we made out, exchanged phone numbers and she never ever replied to any of my texts. Yess texts, plural. 20-year old me was in a bad place and took this way too personal.
So this is a song about how a tiny insignificant rejection made me question everything. It’s also a bit about red wine. Enjoy!🍷

This one I wrote at a time where I felt isolated and unable to connect. Like a pendulum I would shift from feeling distant and numb to suddenly feeling it all, too much at once. I felt like fading out.
What really helped back then were random acts of kindness by the people around me. Sometimes those people were complete strangers. 
There was this beautiful, blonde, curly haired man who noticed my sad face at a train station. He just walked up to me and gave me the most compassionate smile ever, looked into my eyes and said “Hey, it’s not that bad. I know you’ll be ok one day!”. 
And there was this very, very gorgeous bartendress who just poured me and herself a shot and then gave me the warmest hug. She didn’t say anything, there was nothing to say anyway. I just needed to feel seen.
Most of the times we don’t realise how our small gestures can really make someone’s day and we never know the hardships someone else might be experiencing. 
So be kind to each other.
My girlfriend told me she thinks life is like an avocado. I think that’s the equivalent expression of our generation to Forrest Gump’s “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get." And if you hesitate to seize the moment, you might miss it. Thank you for sharing your wisdom!

Avocado Song #QuarantineSessions

This song I wrote it during a period of my life where I felt really uncomfortable about my appearance. I wondered way too much about what people see when they look at me. 
Will they see more, than just a basic, skinny, white girl, who sometimes has great hair? 
Will I let myself be defined by the way other people look at me? And am I more than what they see? And also whyyy the actual fuck do I even overthink about stuff like that again?
From an objective point of view I seem to fulfill most of western society’s insane standards and still some parts of me are really insecure and vulnerable. Body issues root deep inside. On good days I feel like a goddess and on other days I will start doubting everything about myself if you just look at me wrong.
So please be kind to one another! ❤
