“reverie” tells the tale of two strangers, a mysterious connection, and a fleeting moment left frozen in time. 

This is the instrumental version of “reverie” - the melodies performed on flute will become the vocal lines, which tell the story of a surreal chance encounter.

Inspired by ethereal pop, atmospheric, instrumental, orchestral, and soundtrack, using instrumentals to tell the story, complimented by lyrics. Music is magical storytelling and Lily Jane strives to draw the listener in, casting sonic spells to capture the heart and mind. 

Artists of inspiration include Dune Moss, PHILDEL, Nadiiife, AURORA, Exploring Birdsong, The American Dollar, and God Is An Astronaut, as well as the soundtracks to games including Hollow Knight, Death’s Door and Zelda: Breath of the Wild. 

On the other end of the musical spectrum, she enjoys progressive metal bands including Eidola, VOLA, Skyharbor, Polyphia and Agent Fresco. 

Lily Jane is first and foremost a flutist and has been in the concert band setting for 18+ years, with extensive performing experience in large ensemble, chamber ensemble and solo settings. 

She is now a concert and jazz band director and music educator for students grades 3-8, and teaches private flute lessons at every level: beginner, intermediate, advanced, and collegiate/professional. 

Lily Jane believes that creation is the strongest form of resistance against the weight of adversity. In a world of conflict, music harmonizes souls and uplifts the collective.
