Though this campus may be the smallest of our three main campuses, I like to think it’s the mightiest with our aviation, welding, men’s baseball, women’s softball, and men’s and women’s soccer programs being unique to its grounds. Built in 1981, this 75-acre campus features six buildings located in the city of Henderson on the south side of the Vegas Valley near the heart of Las Vegas’ heritage, Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam, at the corner of College Drive and US 95.


Henderson Campus Tour Introduction Message

The A Building, located on the northern most part of the Henderson campus, houses the CSN Testing Center, Aviation and Welding programs.  The CSN Testing Center is where admitted students can take their initial placement tests and enrolled students can take proctored exams. 

Whether you’re looking to become a private, commercial, or drone pilot, or are interested more in in-flight operations or cabin service, the Aviation Program has a degree for you. Using several forms of flight and gauge simulations, students can join the program with no experience and leave ready to take the FAA exam for their chosen field.

Down the hall, on the left side of the building, students can learn the proper and safe techniques needed to become a welder. Whether you’re looking for a broad entry or advanced level welding degree or a specific skillset of welding like arc, pipe, or structural welding, the CSN’s Welding Program provides the education you need to join the workforce in little time.

Henderson Campus Episode 1 - Building A

The B Building of the Henderson campus, is where you will find all the student resources needed to enroll and succeed at CSN.  Here you will find services such as:

•	The Office of Recruitment and Admissions, where you can begin your enrollment process at CSN and ask all your questions before applying. 
•	The First Year Experience office assists first-year students with the transition to college life.
•	The Office of the Registrar, where students can receive information regarding enrollment, residency, graduation, the alumni association and everything in between.  
•	The Disability Resource Center or DRC is where students with documented disabilities can access resources, accommodations, and highly qualified disability specialists. 
•	The Office of Financial Aid provides information and assistance to students applying for Financial Aid, like FAFSA grants, scholarships, and the work study program. 
•	The Cashier’s Office, where students can handle school-related finances like payment plans as well as additional student fees.

CSN takes campus and student safety very seriously. On your tour, you may have noticed a few towering red poles labeled “Emergency”. If the moment should ever arise, you can feel safe in knowing that these emergency call boxes, which are available campus-wide, can connect you to the University Police and Campus Security.

Finally, the Art Gallery is a new addition to the B Building with artwork produced by our students. Students are free to use the space as a place to relax and admire the work of some of our top students.

Henderson Campus Tour Conclusion Message

Nestled between the A and B buildings of the Henderson campus (MOD 4) is the CSN High School.  CSN High School provides a combination of high school and college credits through an agreement between the Clark County School District (CCSD) and the College of Southern Nevada (CSN). There is a CSN High School location on all three CSN main campuses- Henderson (South), North Las Vegas (East), and Charleston (West).

This program is designed for incoming 11th and 12th-grade students who are on track for graduation. Students in this program can take classes that earn them credit toward both their high school diploma and their associate degree at the same time. 


Henderson Campus Episode 2 - Modular 4 and 5 CSN High School

The C Building of the Henderson campus is the most prominent building on site. This two-story building houses the computer lab, technology-driven classrooms, the Centers for Academic Success, science labs, Counseling and Psychological Services, The Bookstore, and an auditorium.

Beginning on the bottom floor, students can find It provides any enrolled CSN student free access to the technology needed to reach their academic goals. There is also a $10 semester-based allowance a student receives for printing. It refreshes at the start of each semester and allows you to print in color for 40 cents per page and black and white for 5 cents per page. 

Bordering the computer lab, are technology-driven classrooms, where students can attend in-person courses digitally, and the Centers for Academic Success, otherwise known as tutorial services. Your tuition pays for any tutoring services that may be needed, and we encourage all students regardless of academic area to utilize these services. 

Down the hall from the computer lab you will find the Counseling & Psychological Services which offers free, confidential solution-focused counseling with a licensed clinical therapist as well as various mental health workshops and trainings to help students manage their emotional, relational, and behavioral growth. Any CSN student currently enrolled in at least one credit is eligible for CAPS services. CAPS services are available both in-person and online.

Across the way from the Computer Lab, you can find all of your textbooks available for rent or purchase in addition to essential school supplies, CSN swag, and even a few snacks and refreshments inside the CSN Bookstore. Additionally, you can search for your textbooks on the bookstore website. 

Rounding out the C building, students can find a 221-seat auditorium and academic classrooms. On the second floor, various science labs are available for students to complete their general education science lab requirement in astronomy, biology, chemistry, geology, or physics.


Henderson Campus Episode 4 - Building C Caesar J. Caviglia Academic Computer Center

The Student Union was built as a hub for students. Upon entrance into the Union, students will experience a living-room style setup, making it easy for students to unwind and interact with their friends. Many of our students and staff take time away from their busy schedules to relax and order some food at our Café which serves locally sourced, organic ingredients where possible. The café offers a revolving menu, full of seasonal delights and some everyday favorites that are considered mainstays on the menu. If you aren’t in the mood for a full meal, but want a snack, beverage or coffee, we have our Starbucks barista bar serving all your favorites in a quick and convenient set up.

The Student Union is also home to the Associated Students of the College of Southern Nevada, or ASCSN, Student Government. Made up of an elected student body that serves as the voice of the students to express their views and observations to the faculty and administration at CSN. It is here that you can meet the leaders of tomorrow ready to help you today! Services available to students through student government include activities and events throughout the semester to engage students, student ID card printing, free scantrons during test times, and information about joining or starting a club. If interested in any of the above or being an ASCSN Senator yourself, make sure to stop by the ASCSN office.

The Student Union also houses the Career Services Center which offers career exploration, job search assistance, internship and volunteer opportunities to students and alumni.  Designed to help students transition to life after CSN, whether that is the work force or transferring to a four-year institution. The center also helps students define career goals through computerized assessments & career exploration activities and offers the Career & Technical Education Assistance Program to provide help to students facing significant barriers to education and/or employment.

The Student Union provides ample study space as well as the ability to reserve study rooms. The Multicultural Center is the core of CSN's diversity initiatives, it provides a safe space for students of all ethnicities, backgrounds, and sexual orientations. It is a spot for students to explore themselves and their culture as well as the cultures of their fellow Coyotes. The center hosts events periodically throughout the semester, so make sure to keep an eye on the next event happening here. This building is truly designed with the student and community it serves in mind. 


Henderson Campus Episode 6 - Student Union

CSN offers many championship winning sports like baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, and volleyball. While our basketball and volleyball programs play out of the North Las Vegas campus, our Coyote baseball, Lady Coyote softball, and men’s and women’s soccer teams play out of the Henderson campus.

Our Coyote baseball program has won several SWAC, NJCAA Region 18, NJCAA Western District Junior College World Series, and have been crowned national champions since the team took their first pitch in the year 2000. Since forming, talented players have moved through our ranks with our most notable player being Bryce Harper.

Our men’s soccer program has seen success too since they first played in the fall of 2016, winning NJCAA Region 18 and SWAC championships of their own. Students interested in joining these esteemed teams can fill out an interest packet online.

Henderson Campus Episode 5  - Building D James B. Whiteaker Club House

Located just west of the Student Union is our Health Sciences expansion building. This 73,000-square-foot facility was built as a joint venture between the College of Southern Nevada and Nevada State University to provide more classrooms and study space for limited entry health programs. Students interested in the Health Science Program will now have the ability to study at both the Charleston campus on the west side and the Henderson campus on the south side of the Las Vegas Valley.

The H Building also has the Campus Library.  The Library provides books, audio visual, periodical collections, and a vast catalog of digital scholarly sources available through the CSN library website.  The Interlibrary loan system allows for obtaining material outside of our institution. Additionally, the library contains study rooms that you can reserve with your library card and computers that you can utilize as well.

Henderson Campus Episode 7 – Building H Ralph & Betty Engelstad School of Health Sciences

CSN High School provides a combination of high school and college credits through an agreement between the Clark County School District (CCSD) and the College of Southern Nevada (CSN). There is a CSN High School location on all three CSN main campuses- Henderson (South), North Las Vegas (East), and Charleston (West).

Episode 3: Module 5 & 6 CSN High School

Opened in  the fall of  2003,  buildings G and H  are  part of the combined 75,000 square-foot lecture and lab tower spaces containing  several  classrooms  and laboratories  for students taking  science  courses  such  as biology, chemistry, geography, and geology,  as well as  physics. Other spaces in the building include chemical instrumentation, undergraduate research/special studies, and an astronomy dark room.

CSN Henderson Tour Introduction

The A Building of the Henderson campus is a single-story building and is the smallest building we’ll talk about, located on the northern most part of the campus. Housed inside is our campus library, bookstore, and CSN’s aviation and welding programs. 

Beginning with our campus library, the treasure trove of information available to you inside could mean the difference between a good project and a better one. Featuring a reference desk with knowledgeable librarians ready to assist you and a requesting system that connects you with scholarly sources from all of the CSN campus libraries, fellow NSHE institution libraries, and libraries beyond the state of Nevada to give you the research and information you will need for your project. CSN also offers access to peer-reviewed articles, papers, journals, and texts through the online CSN library. Don’t let your project suffer from bad sources. Visit the CSN library and learn from the best! 

While on the subject of books, you can find all of your textbooks available for rent or purchase in addition to essential school supplies, CSN swag, and even a few snacks and refreshments inside the CSN bookstore. HEN Episode 1 - A Building

Nestled between the A and B buildings of the Henderson campus is CSN High School, where students in their junior and senior year of high school take classes at CSN that earn them credit toward both their high school diploma and their associate degree at the same time. Outside of CSN High School, students in high school can still earn college credit by attending CTE courses, Jumpstart early enrollment courses, or be dual-enrolled high school students taking classes at CSN.  

Moving farther south to the B Building of the Henderson campus, you will find within the walls of this two-story building the Student Services area and General Education classrooms. Assistance with the following are included in the student services area: Recruitment, the Office of the Registrar, the Testing Center, Academic Advising, Financial Aid, the Cashier, First Year Experience, Career and Transfer Services, the Disability Resource Center, and security. These departments are designed to put students first.  

The Department of Recruitment and College Connections is where you’ll find Recruiters ready with guidance on CSN’s First Steps of Enrollment process. These Recruiters are generally available by walk-ins Monday through Friday. The Office of the Registrar is where students have access to their personal and academic records. The Testing Center is where admitted students can take their initial placement tests and enrolled students can take proctored exams. Academic Advising is where students can receive assistance with academic planning and course selection to meet their educational goals. Financial Aid is where students can discuss all options of funding to pay for their education at CSN. The Cashier is where students can handle school-related finances and billing. 

First Year Experience and the Coyote Concierge desk is available to help first-year students with the transition to college life. Career and Transfer Services is designed to help students transition to life after CSN, whether that is the work force or transferring to a four-year institution. The Disability Resource Center is where students with documented disabilities have access to resources, accommodations, and highly qualified disability specialists. And lastly security. HEN Episode 2 - B Building

The C Building of the Henderson campus is the most prominent building on site. This two-story building houses the computer lab, technology-driven classrooms, the Centers for Academic Success, science labs, Counseling and Psychological Services, and an auditorium. 

Beginning on the bottom floor, students can find a state-of-the-art computer lab facility complete with computers, software, and printers available to enrolled students for free. The printers do have a cost per page charge, but students can utilize a printing allowance issued to them every semester to cover these costs.  

Bordering the computer lab are technology-driven classrooms, where students can attend in-person courses digitally, and the Centers for Academic Success, otherwise known as tutorial services. Here, enrolled students can get access to free tutoring across all academic areas. Down the hall from the computer lab, students can meet with a licensed therapist, at no additional cost, to address any psychological stressors or emotional needs at Counseling and Psychological Services, or CAPS for short. 

Rounding out the C building, students can find a 221-seat auditorium, ready built for classes, presentations, and student-oriented events, and on the second floor, various science labs ready for students to complete their general education science lab requirement in astronomy, biology, chemistry, geology, or physics are available.

HEN Episode 3 - C Building

Our newest additions to the CSN Henderson campus are our Student Union building and our Health Sciences expansion building. Opening in August 2019 and fall 2021 respectively, these buildings bring new life to our southernmost campus of the Vegas Valley. The Student Union was built as a hub for students. Here, you will find the Associated Students of the College of Southern Nevada, or ASCSN Student Government, the Student Union cafe, a barista bar serving Starbucks, a multicultural center, study rooms available for reservation, and ample room to just relax, study, or simply hangout with friends. At student government, you can meet the leaders of tomorrow ready to help you today! Services available to students through student government include activities and events throughout the semester to engage students, student ID card printing, free scantrons during test times, and information about joining or starting a club. If interested in any of the above or being an ASCSN Senator yourself, make sure to stop by the ASCSN office on the campus nearest you.
