This is an audio recording dated April 15, 1973. It was recorded by my father, Rev ZR Cabello, Jr, when living in South Bend IN. He was an advocate who worked in the burgeoning Latino community when we moved to SB in '69. He worked for a while at WSBT, and was given the opportunity to start a Spanish community radio program called "Informando al Pueblo". (Informing Our Community). EC

While pastoring in Saginaw MI (1964-1969), my father, ZR Cabello, Jr hosted the first Spanish radio program for the community. It was sponsored by the church on 17th St...Latin American Assembly of God Church...and at the time was flourishing, as it is today. This is one program that was archived on 1/4" reel-to-reel and converted to an MP3 file for all to enjoy. This brings back so many great memories of Saginaw MI. EC
