Sound of Rain

Joseph Hooligan is a genre-bending punk artist hailing from Burton-on-Trent UK inspired by the theatrics of David Bowie, the ethos of Guided By Voices and the DIY punk rock music of Holiday and The Raging Nathans. 

With two demo EPs released in 2020-21, Hooligan is gig-bound, having supported the indie rock group Riding The Low and going on to gig the Birmingham circuit with new releases and collaborations. 
Hooligan formed the collaborative project The Satellite Frequency Program with collage artist datshredboi and have released their first EP The Disquiet of John Lagoon, a concept EP blending Hooligan’s storytelling and datshredboi’s cryptic production. More is to come from the group. 

Hooligan’s music extends to his own side projects such as the downtempo electronic Polo Uranus. A compilation Over The Moon! featuring new mixes came out in late 2021, showcasing his influence from lo-fi ambience to downtempo electronica.
