This is what happens when you try amateur recording during summer in North Queensland. In November 2021 the neighborhood frogs went crazy. so rather than give up that night,  switched projects and recorded them.
The original version of this song was written in 1999 and performed as part of a musical production about the environment at Lucinda, North Queensland.

I grew up in a sourrounding where things like gentleness, softness or cuteness were seen as flaws. Almost an invitation for bullying. As a kid and young woman I tried so much to be "cool" and tough because I was taught that one would not survive otherwise. But I never really was good in it, haha. I was always the one touched by duck families, blackbirds jumping across the lawn or when I saw people being nice to each other. Meanwhile I understand that what I learned back then was that poor people are afraid of softness. It is one of the best lessons of my life: people are often used to be mean and unfriendly. Often they goad each other with insults and slanders. We became pros in it, even more with Facebook & Co. But give those people a friendly word and they are put off their stride. Same goes for cuteness: It is able to touch people's heart and remind us of empathy and careful handling. And that's what I mean with Power of Cuteness. It has the power to make the world a better place with more love and less egoism. It reminds us to be careful and friendly with ourselves and the world because life is fragile and precious.

This track is written in C Major and I don't know why, but to me this scale just sounds somehow cute and unsuspecting. I love that about it! I read that others call it "naive" and that says a lot. Never underestimate cuteness as "naive". It's one of the strongest medicines we have against the scourge of coldheartedness. Loving your pets, your cuddly toys, your partner, the books and movies that make you cry and so on means you are strong enough to emotionally survive a world that tries to tell you only the bad guys will win. We are rich at heart!
