My first original recorded song in almost 10 years. This song is a culmination of everything I have experienced as a woman throughout my life- the insecurity and the dutifulness that has given way to empowerment and faith in the journey.

I will never be a perfect person. I will always have something of a temper, will always lust for new scenery, and will probably never feel like my work is “done”. The difference in being shackled by these truths and them setting me free lies in that I know in my heart I am a real, complete, golden person.

We all are. Down beneath the fears, the accomplishments, the shortcomings, and the dreams lies the undeniable, unequivocal, divine self that shines through the ups and downs of life. We don’t need anyone else to make us golden, we already are.

Let yourself shine. Polish when things get tarnished. Glitter in the sunlight. Know your worth. Don’t let compromise or compliance trick you into thinking that you are anything less than pure gold.
