Almucantar is a graduation short film created by a group of E-Artsup students. It tells the story of Haruo, a child with a passion for astronomy. One summer evening, Haruo scans the horizon in search of a comete that is supposed to light up the starry night sky. Haruo is about to give up, when suddenly, a gleam lights up the sky.

The music is greatly inspired by Ghibli original orchestral soundtracks such as Spirited Away and The Cat Returns. Big thanks to Ilinca Pouzet for recording "Orange and Blue", the film's ending song !

Played by the Anthemis Quartet in the Museum of Fine Arts in Lyon, France.
This composition, inspired by Bartholomé's sculpture 'Monument aux Morts,' was performed by the Anthemis Quartet at the Museum of Fine Arts in Lyon. It portrays death not merely as a tragedy but rather as a liberating force.
