Time Has No Heart

“The River" is the title track for Coyote Motel’s upcoming feature film release, The River: A Songwriter’s Stories of the South. Written by the band’s leader Ted Drozdowski and directed by Richie Owens of Parlor Films, the movie stars Coyote Motel and features the work of light artists Darling Lucifer Productions and the aerialists of Suspended Gravity Circus. The crowdfunded film is altogether the work of more than 15 Nashville-based independent artists.

The River

Recorded and originally released in 1992 on cassette only, the Bloodlblister EP makes its digital debut here and now. The band was founded by Mark Sullivan (The Civics, Jambient Project) and Ted Drozdowski (Coyote Motel), who were also co-leaders of Devil Gods,  to push the then-limits of electric guitar. All loops, effects and guitars were played live, without the use of computer as anything more than a tape recorder. Yes, they also sounded like this onstage—opening for Marc Ribot in Boston, playing the original Knitting Factory in NYC, and anywhere else from rock clubs to art spaces to coffeehouses.
