Sappho also known as Megan Andricos, is a queer event producer and musical artist based out of Portland Oregon. Harkening back to the most famous woman artist of antiquity, Megan took her artistic performance moniker as Sappho, a namesake that has a strong connection to femme empowerment. With over 20 plus years of involvement in the dance community, she is a mentor to queer and femme artists in event production and the artform of DJ'ing. Her current DJ residencies include NoFOMO (Portland, OR), Bottom Forty (Seattle, WA) and Underground SF (San Francisco, CA). You can also find Sappho hosting a monthly show on Fault Radio. She has been changing the status quo, with her deep research, precise, almost librametric methods, branching into new forms and combinations that weave an intricate modern day poetry for a current generation of souls, freeing them to dance, to love, to feel - the way only a perfect prose of poetry could elicit.

Other Joe’s ‘Jealousy Tulip’ arrives in stasis - as if suspended in mid-air. No longer rising but not yet falling.

After contributing a piece to our Stay In Bed Vol. II compilation we proudly present the latest EP from the .jpeg Artefacts label head, a hazy five tracker built on swirling loops, murky textures and playful motifs.   Joe’s EP is comprised of loops made in a single day and ruminated over long walks. Large project files and overloaded effect racks caused the renders of each file to take on a slightly different flavour each time they were exported. We’ve dubbed this precarious workflow “CPU Jazz”.

Within these uneasy and at times disconcerting sonic textures there are hopeful melodies and rhythms that cut through the fog, suggesting an idyllic spring that is just out of reach. Let your ear hold onto these moments and use them as a key to open you up to the meditative garden of the Jealousy Tulip.

The Mysidian label drops Ftzzgrld’s first EP of original tunes and they’re an absolute treat.

1993 features 3 deep numbers and tops it off with Roy Comanchero (Running Back, Alliance Upholstery) of Osaka, Japan’s remix of the title track.

All the right influences from ’93 are there while still sounding fresh! Being one of our favorite records of 2021 so far and it just being Ftzzgrld’s first EP on vinyl we might be getting ahead of ourselves when we say we’re already excited to hear more from both Ftzzgrld & Roy Comanchero!

Rick Silver & James Vernon’s fairly young but highly promising label has been releasing the highest standard of stripped back and stylish, dubbed-out sonics and have carved out a little section for themselves in the electronic music scene after honing a dynamic and appealing production style. Previous releases from the two label bosses and enigmatic artist Yallahs have captured the attention from various established names and they continue to show their flair for all things raw and exciting on their ‘Stories, Chapter One’ release.

James Vernon’s ‘Web Flight’ rounds off the EP with rough-edged modulations, looping rhythms and haunting pads that spiral in and out of focus with pure eccentricity.

Premiering "Running Parallel" by Sistema Aero, , the collaborative effort between Charles Taciturn and xenonyms label boss GFXIII. Out on 18th February as a two-tracker single via xenonyms

The lead track sets off the genre bending mood of the release by incorporating distorted cumbia and jungle breaks inside a dreamy, buoyant atmosphere. In contrast 'Tierra Maldita' reveals itself as a sinister four-to-the-floor mutation full of hypnotic synths and eerie vocal sections.
