These songs are full of similar moments that reach deep, disorient with their candor, and linger long, into lightness. Little truths hook and curl. Is there actually a place where I could fall behind with you? Where we can measure time by creeping vines? I’d like to. Because she did blow in on a cold wind, and how did you know? Precious images, misplaced memories, that this album has captured, nurtured, shared".

June Pattern 3 (2023)

Summer 2023: I have a dream where I am looking out at the vastness of the ocean and notice something on the horizon. I don't remember if I am traveling on a boat or just floating over the water, but I go straight towards the mass. As I get closer, a forest of drowned trees begins to emerge. The ocean is deep here, it's like an extremely deep swamp or estuary. I immerse myself into the forest of limbs and begin to feel that the sticks are similar to gravestones; a graveyard. 

"I've seen you before" is song written in reference to the dream, but before I found this picture in a family photo album. Not only does the picture almost perfectly mirror what I saw in my dream, but its qualities are outstanding in that it is red (no other picture in the piles of photos had this degraded hue) and the location is undefined (no writing or indication of where this boat is / the photos that were with it did not give any reference to it).
