I am inspired by nature and the music it makes. Finding peace in places that are more quiet, I wanted to evoke that feeling of being present and aware of the sound that is around.

New Tattoo

The creative process for this track started off with a melody created by sampling a synth that sounded distorted yet smooth at the same time. I got a solid groove by throwing in some punchy drums and a bass line, with some subtle hi hats. 

Throughout the track I create some variation in the electric piano chords, as well as the synth leads so that it doesn’t feel repetitive. Then I talk about what’s on my mind like I usually do and I try to not overthink the lyrics. Once the vocals are laid down, I start the mixing and mastering process. Fine tune the frequencies and compression, as well as reverb, delays and all that kinda stuff. After a few exports I usually get it right.
