Root & Brach Recordings is the record label  founded by singer/songwriter, composer of cinematic tunes and home-recorder Ruud Slingerland.
Based in Groningen, the Netherlands, it started in 1984 as a low profile cassette label for the release and distribution of the lo-fi home-recordings of Ruud Slingerland. Later on there were also CD, video and digital releases of various projects by Slingerland, under the name of 'Rude Ass (presents)' 'Hairy Love Gum' and  in the recent years 'Dia del Mercado'
