My friend David Z (a.k.a. @blackmarketbrains) posted this incredibly awesome drum beat as an open collab. It was made using the korg Volca Drum which we both are fans of. This Empty World 

It is hard to escape the unrest in the world at the moment, horrific picture of  starving children, millions dying in wars, Psychopaths running countries and threatening nuclear war if they don’t get what they want. Very frightening times. 

All of this is having a profound effect on me and I am sure on a lot of normal people and I wonder, do these So called leaders have any idea of the effect all of these bombs going off and exhaust from tanks and jets is having on our Atmosphere ? what would happen to humanity if they actually did press that Nuclear button?  Armageddon would be released followed by disease and mother earth would fight back. 

With this as a mental backdrop, I had an idea for a song about the last human being left alive on Earth after such an event. There would have to be a “ Last man standing “  A bitter sweet experience to have survived nuclear wars, pandemic after pandemic and the death of life on the planet but to be All alone in this empty world. I had the music but not the lyrics. I sent off what I had to my Friend and musical collaborator Finn Eces and what you are about to hear is the amazing result.

The law of attraction. I can't remember what author championed it. But it's very true in a sense I think. We project and absorb either positivity or negativity. The world and average mind set is showing us negativity on steroids at the moments and as far as I can see people are re-projecting that negativity when they are not conscious about absorbing and re-projecting it.

That's why I feel so strongly in positivity especially now. We can actually get that positive wild fire we need from people to spread empathy instead of apathy. We don't all need to understand that, we just need enough of us to be tuned to ourselves enough to not reproject the negative energy we see in front of us even if we are the target.

As my Mum says to be all the time...

It is our true God and lit us our path 4.5 billion years ago. Firstly on easy listening 6/4 bars, I cut some notes out of the main theme so as to give it dynamism, and finally obtained a prime amalgam of 17 quarter notes. I hid any recognizable thing in the accompaniment, and for the organic lines (voice and guitars) I tried the strong rhythm would not fix too much the melodies, first paying a lot of attention, and finally ... just letting me go.
