I find this piece of musical art fascinating: attributed to Django Reinhardt this valse brings me back in Rue de la Montagne Saint Genevieve where i was sitting this january after my Manouche guitar purchase. The exact place in wich Owen Wilson used to wait for his time traveling ride in  Midnight in Paris.

Credo che questo pezzo di arte musicale sia affascinante: attribuito a Django Reinhardt , mi riporta indietro in Rue de la Montagne Saint Genevieve, dove stavo seduto questo gennaio dopo aver comprato la mia chitarra manouche. Lo stesso posto in cui Owen Wilson aspetta il suo passaggio per tornare indietro nel tempo nel film Midnight in Paaris. L'Audio gratta perchè ho un pick up schifoso.

Django Reinhardt e Stephane Grappelli hanno composto questo brano quasi un secolo fa, quando ancora la musica si faceva con strumenti di legno e senza circuiti.  Mi perdoneranno se mi sono permesso di reinterpretarlo un po', del resto questo è il manouche jazz: si ascolta qualcosa si suona un po' e poi ci si suona sopra quello che ci viene dal cuore. Spero prenda bene a voi come ha preso bene me!

Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli wrote this jazz blues almost a century ago, when music was made with wooden circuitless istruments . They will forgive me if i dared to reinterpret it a little bit, for that is manouche jazz: you listen something you play it out and play along with it something coming directly out of your soul. I hope you enjoy as much as i did!

After an hot summer lunch some hot club stuff is what you need to recover. First part i tried to play like Django the great, passing through a bit of improvisation before I close. I hope you like it. 

Dopo un caldissimo pranzo estivo ci vuole un po' di jazz caldo per ripigliarsi. La prima parte è un tentativo di suonare (male) il solo di Django il grande(migliorerò con lo studio nei prossimi mesi, aggiungendo il solo di Grappelli) , nella seconda parte improviso sul tema fino alla chiusura. Spero vi piaccia.

Here i try for the first time a decent recording equipment. It was not programmed so I played what i could recall better, result is not bad at all for a student. It starts with Django's version of the song from 1939 recording and in the end i go with a bit of impro.  Enjoy , like and share!
