This project was recorded "on location" in the Mesquite Arts Center, Mesquite, TX, on several dates during 2004 by Ron Meyer. The facility is modeled after the traditional "shoebox" design seating about 500 people, a size that provides a pleasant resonance yet maintains a very clean, open sound. Only two microphones were utilized to record these two instruments, they were placed to capture a blend of direct and reflected sound so that the listener would enjoy a "concert like" sound upon playback.
