With its startling arrangement, in fact, “Dysphoria” tries to translate into sound the emotional disruption and melancholic release that follow up an euphoric state, and how one can overcome this mental state by channeling their negative emotions into something playful.

GHOST RAID is a Southern California based artist and DJ who creates blistering soundscapes, mangling and reinterpolating dance music and composition into pure catharsis. Heavily inspired by artists like Alparr, S280F, Iglooghost and former music teacher FITNESSS, they have been producing work which explores the intersection between harsh noise and club music. Having an extensive catalogue of their own work, they have also released music alongside contemporaries in the deconstructed electronic scene including Raiika, Cenaceae, Archidi and 2MANYCOLOURS. They are working on numerous projects which will be released over the coming months.

For this mix, GHOST RAID has welded together harsh electronics with euphoria, creating a soundscape akin to the dichotomy between heaven and hell. Cold, cybernetic and dystopian in nature, allow sound to fully consume.
