Kai van Dongen is a Producer, DJ, Vocalist & Live Act from Johannesburg, South Africa. 

Based in London for the past 6 years, Kai has built up a prolific discography across labels like Truncate, Enemy, Ei8ht, Second State, Roses Are Red and his own bandcamp imprint - KVD records. 

His productions span across techno, electro, rave and electronica and can be heard at clubs and festivals around the world including spaces like Berghain, Bassiani and Tresor by DJ’s like Luke Slater, Rødhåd, Truncate and Dustin Zahn. 

His mixing style has been described as rhythmic, incisive and angular with track selection leaning toward an anything with soul approach. This has seen him play at Amsterdam Dance Event and release mixes on various podcast series and radio stations over the years on both digital and vinyl media.
