Band Reject is a collaboration of Bryce Wemple and Jeff Biegert, whose purpose is focused on the discovery of new and unique sonic environments though the manipulation of frequency and amplitude. Through the use of analog and digital modular synthesizers, they patch and perform live exploitations of voltage to create musical landscapes and sonic experiences that will transport you to distant worlds. Band Reject wields a pallet of limitless possibilities of sound that is sometimes harmonious, other times dissonant, and many times unique, unexpected, and unreal.
While only meeting a couple years ago at the Music District in Fort Collins, individually, Bryce and Jeff’s history in electronic music goes back more than 40 years. Bryce discovered synthesizers in 5th grade at a class trip to see Archie Ulm at the Red Carpet Room in Fort Collins. During the performance Bryce’s mind was blown while Archie performed the classic electronic hit “Popcorn”. At the end of the show Archie coaxed Star Wars like Laser sounds out of an Arp Odyssey, Bryce was hooked from then on. He produced his own record in 1986, titled Mutual Amusement. This forged the path to his second release, Something Done on Spectrum Records in 1989, followed by more releases over the years. He prolifically publishes his electronic creations on Soundcloud under B music.  
Jeff’s introduction to electronic music happened at a planetarium during a show called Laserium. The soundtrack was the album Synergy, by Larry Fast, Peter Gabriel’s Keyboard Technician. In middle school Jeff’s drum teacher introduced him to a DIY modular synthesizer, he fell into the rabbit hole quickly. Jeff has a degree in music from the Berklee College of Music in 1988, majoring in electronic music and music synthesis. He went on to form, Psycho Tec, a hard-core electronic band, and later Think Tree. Think Tree released an LP and CD on their own label in 1988, followed by Like the Idea on Caroline Records. After 2 European tours and a scattering of dates in the US, including shows with the Pixies, Nine Inch Nails, and Morphine, Think Tree disbanded. Jeff has re-discovered his electronic roots and is excited to explore new sonic realms though modular synthesis.
