Fayçal Cheffou s'essaie au journalisme  devant le centre fermé 127 bis de Steenokkerzeel. En période de ramadan et certains prisonniers, ne commencent à manger qu'à partir de 22h, à l'heure où ils rompent le jeûne qu'impose leur religion. Mais il n'y a que trois repas par jour et que le service se termine à 19h. “Ils se retrouvent sans nourriture, complètement oubliés du reste du monde ... Je trouve ça totalement irrespectueux des droits humains."“ s'insurge Cheffou, micro en main. " 
Soupçonné d'avoir participé aux attentats de Bruxelles, Fayçal Cheffou a finalement été blanchi (Samedi 26 mars, le parquet fédéral belge avait annoncé l'inculpation de Fayçal Cheffou pour "assassinats terroristes" et "participation aux activités d'un groupe terroriste").
