Kerwin Kevin Alexander is a Trinidadian new dancehall artiste, who goes by the sobriquet ‘Possible’ because anything he believes he can achieve and everything in life is possible.

Born on September 28th 1978, Possible surely has a story worth telling. He recalls his childhood as being fun, crazy and wild with music always being a part of it. He grew up in a Caribbean environment in Flatbush, New York City listening to music such as R&B, Rap, Reggae and Soca. He also remembers the days when he would write music on and off while working in the construction field. He shared that he always knew he wanted to pursue it but never got the right opportunity.

At the age of 15 years, he was faced with what he calls one of the biggest challenges in his life; being incarcerated and spending 5 and a half years in jail.

‘Your teenage years is where you develop the most and for me it was behind bars. Jail isn’t the glamorous portrayal that is shown on television, its survival to the fittest and being put into a prison institution with men much older, more aggressive and experienced in the prison mentality of survival I had to learn and adjust quickly. Although there were many challenges I faced through that time, I also took the opportunity to divulge in a lot of personal growth. I wanted to leave jail better than how I had entered and I did just that.’

Today, Possible uses the lessons of his past to show the power of real unity and helping others understand that they can accomplish more if they come together as one. He says that his musical style speaks to the streets. His brand new single ‘Hands Up’, which is available on all streaming platforms, speaks about the injustice in the police system in Trinidad and Tobago. The official music video for first release is officially out now.
