Super Venus is a French/German deejay and graphic designer living in Berlin and floating in the musical field of downtempo, breakbeats, spacy techno and off-centered progressive house. She will play on Tuesday night 30th of April at the 7 Years Basic Moves party in Funke Ghent but will pass by before to Kiosk radio to bring a special set dedicated to a sound very close to Super Venus heart: dub music. We’re already excited. Tune in!

CTHULHU MYTHOS: THE FORBIDDEN ZONE

Lux Tenebris (meaning ‘Light in Darkness’) is a blend of contemporary dark and ambient electronica with classical overtones. The work evolves towards the climax of 'eternal return', where the light returns. 

Cinematic and richly layered — evoking both shadow and illumination. Exploring how light and darkness shape our lives. I was interested in capturing the luminescence of life and the idea that beauty can be found even in the darkest places. 

Originally composed for a dance work of the same name in 2016 by choreographer Rafael Bonachela, commissioned by Sydney Dance Company.

Vlada is a prominent figure in Russia's burgeoning dance music scene. She is a resident DJ at Moscow's landmark Arma17 promotion crew and one of the minds behind the city's Mutabor club and arts center, which opened only last year and has already garnered a reputation as a world class venue.

A formidable DJ and purveryor of groovy, minimal dance music, we invite Vlada to cut the ribbon on our new mix series. As an apt reflection of our current circumstances, Vlada steps away from the dancefloor and ventures into slower territory, all the while maintaining the hypnotic groove that is her hallmark. This hour of music is perfect for home listening with selections from Japanese ambient, downtempo, IDM and avant garde jazz.
