Decided to cover this amazing song by Symphony X, but with an acoustic touch.
Every instrument was recorded in a one-take/performance manner, except the piano, which I had to record bit by bit since I'm no pianist. But I DID have to learn it and really play it!
I used a Cajon as bass and snare, and in other 2 takes I tracked assorted percussion. I used a fondue grill as a kind of ride cymbal!
There were 2 acoustic guitars, bass (electric), 4 tracks of scaletta, a mini glockenspiel and 7 tracks of vocals.
