you were sitting in the backseat

and your knees were bent 

as you slowly seeped into the ground

i offered you my warmth
and the moon gave me your smile

i watched you beam 
i watched you leave 

we were kissing by the ocean 
in a place i’d never been 
in an awkward kind of manner

like it was the first time all 
over again

i feel that way sometimes
a lot
and i love it and i know that you are 
someone that i can rely on 
and can call on 
to talk to

it is warm here

is that you talkin 
or the alchohol
or the microwave hot dogs
or the wet paint apartment smell
and theres a bunch bugs
at the bottom of the pool
and my mom used to sing me john denver songs
when i was in elementary school

now when i die etch my eulogy
in the gas station bathroom wall
and ive been diggin holes 
in the backyard
and when i figure out what theyre for
ill let you know
and ive been talkin with the birds
yeah ive been communin with the trees
and no matter how hard i try to see things
through different eyes
it all just looks like dead bugs 
at the bottom of the pool to me

i wrote this interpreting koans in a similar way to numerology in qabalah; i.e. sending your brain down infinite spirals of thoughts and reasoning until eventually your conscious mind 'breaks' and you reach gnosis (or your unconscious self)
