Gladio Operations presents its eighth release titled “Blue Binary Code”, an EP that returns to the various artists format and is accompanied by relevant names from the electro scene.

The first artist to get us underway is an old acquaintance of ours, Boris Divider (@borisdivider). The Spanish artist gifts us “Gods Of Olympus” a fast-paced cut with aggressive bass lines that inevitably takes us back to Boris' beginnings; a wise choice!

The producer Igors Vorobjovs (@igorsv) is one of the new faces on the European circuit. On his first appearance for Gladio, the Latvian producer signs in with “NH3”, an excellent track that is deep, enveloping, and well moulded with fine and subtle acid touches.

Side B launches with Lectromagnetique, who returns to Gladio with “Space Coast”. As it could not be otherwise, we find ourselves before an energetic, powerful and overflowing cut of dark atmospheres, so characteristic of the Ukrainian artist in his productions.

The American producer Francois Dillinger (@fdbeardd) is another of the new faces on Gladio in 2023. Directly from the motor city comes “Agitated Particles”, a cut where Francois brings us his most hypnotic vision of electro sound.

The EP concludes with the producer Chris Morgan, better known as CH415 (@ch415). With releases on renowned labels such as AC Records or Brokntoys, the Welsh producer leaves us with ”Spaze Modulations” which takes us to a more cosmic and relaxing level.

Three small bones within the inner ear operate to transmit periodic air pressure changes. A passive stimulus-response mechanism, @mmechanoreceptor traverses amongst multiple dimensions, synthesising the vast array of phenomena. While input is multi-sensory, the auditory instantiations constitute the output encoded by Mechanoreceptor. Spectral Decomposition recounts various entities/observations from the Aviary upon delicate analysis of the spectral properties that compose such observations - here, oceans, gemstones, and the great Electrophorus Electricus (otherwise known as the Electric Eel).

A peer-reviewed EP, co-authors Jadzia and Go Nuclear supply their unique input to round off the EP.

FERMA012 is up close and personal to the Athenian scene. Label co-runner, Morken unveils a diverse 4-tracker infused with an immersive blend of intricate breakbeats, heavy low end and gritty vocals. Remix duties from two staple personas of the local scene, DJ Problems and Fragedis, who are hitting the spot once more.

DJ Problems is one of the driving forces behind Fade Radio, a community-based radio in Athens that is ever-growing, and has recently launched his own label named Street Fighter Honda with a fantastic VA full of surprises. He is also known for his productions as Bekha Mujiri on labels such as Abstract Reality & Meta Moto.

Lab Personnel - Marked For Dissasembly [Bella Ursa Recordings // BUR-016]

Hailing from Croatia, Lab Personnel is a musical collaboration turned collective and label between many like-minded artists such as Goran Lautar (aka Neon Lies), Jasmin Mahmić (aka Le Chocolat Noir, Fiume & more), Luka Kurjan (aka Man of Cloth), Marijan Katić, Nikola Kos (aka Ikonal) and Saša Rajković (aka Zarkoff, part of Sumerian Fleet, part of Neugrau & more). Over the years, they would occasionally meet for and record lengthy sessions of improvisational music. 'Marked for Disassembly' is their latest output.

This time, deep within the skeletal remains of an abandoned chemical processing plant, eight of their members captured the disquieting essence of a world suspended between haunting melodies and forgotten industry. Immersed in an atmosphere of palpable musical anxiety, their machines oozed up a sonic alchemy of experimental EBM where strange syncopated drums meet with eerie acid lines and gooey textures.

"Marked for Disassembly" is set to be released on Mar 20th across all digital platforms, accompanied by a beautiful UV printed cassette.
