Social work services are such an intrical part of many people’s lives. Helping people make better lives for themselves is such an empowering job!

With over 50% of the population requiring medications, I would agree.  

11.7% addiction rate - center for Drug Abuse.

Govt job is to protect its people

Acceptance of drugs in America is unbelievable 

We ignore the drug problem

It’s estimated that the police capture 2-5% of the drugs circulating in the USA

It’s time for the government to unify on this issue. It shouldn’t be a talking point. We are losing our youth to this epidemic. Enough is enough!

We lost <than 1% of cur population to Covid and we all made accommodations to our lives. The government unified in an attempt to save lives. The drug use epidemic is more than 10x bigger than COVID, it’s been a “give it the old college try” approach. That’s the simple truth!

People should be angry that the government, media, etc. have not stepped up to the plate.  World economics depend on the drug industry. I get it, but it doesn’t have to be at the expense of our youth. 

Many drug users find their way to the Courts.  The Courts have the power to change these peoples lives in a proactive as well as a reactive way. However, Judges who do not fund these projects should be held accountable too! For example, if a Judge denies a restraining order and the person is killed by the individual he/ she was seeking protection from; the Judge is often thrown off the bench. But when a person has a drug or alcohol use disorder comes into court, the Judge is not held to that same level of accountability when they provide unrealistic parameters in their conditions of release or limit social work services to an hour. As if the worlds problems could be resolved in an hour.  What world does that person live it because the rest of us would love to know that formula.

It crazy to say in the 21st century that a person can block obvious and necessarily services expecting results that defy common sense

Kenny Stein has been policy director for the Institute for Energy Research since 2017. Rewind to 1990, it’s Valentine’s Day and you want to take that special someone to a very special place.
Queue, The Castle in Leicester! With its fantastical décor, The Castle was the go-to place for romantic
dinners and special occasions. It was THE place to impress, and for 71 years, the Castle did just that
before going up for sale in early 2020. After several painstaking months, the sale of the Castle was
finalized, and the new ambitious owners, the Nicas family, who were eager to introduce the area to art
of Spanish cooking.
Fast forward to 2022 a visit to the aptly renamed Castle Cantina is, with a little imagine, a visit to a
mediaeval castle overlooking on the scenic Tagus River in Spain (aka Sargent Pond). Keeping true to its
roots, the new owners kept the Castle’s cool medievalesque interior (albeit some updating and personal
touches). Dining at Castle Cantina is a step back in time and it’s 100% awesome!
On a sunny Fall Saturday my sister, friend, and I stormed the castle for lunch and well-deserved adult
beverages! Upon arrival we were pleasantly pleased to find the old moat and fountains in working order
and the castle-like interior just as we remembered it. We were promptly greeted by their friendly
hostess and shown to their well-appointed dining room overlooking the Tagus River – remember we are
imagining here!
Upon arrival, a lively Spanish music band was playing on the patio, which was met with a constant
stream of patrons eager to sit by the water and relax with cocktails and Tapas fare. Being averse to
warm weather, we opted to sequester ourselves inside the inner keep’s cooler clime; drinks were
ordered, and we were left to decide on our next feast. The menu is fun and creative - now this is NOT a
Mexican, there are no chimichangas on the menu – instead you’ll find tastefully prepared Tapas cuisine
infused with a Caribbean flair alongside other familiar options. I ordered a well-appointed charcuterie
board while my sister ordered the hummus tapas and friend chowed down on burger sliders. There’s
loads more options on the menu so you’ll be sure to finding something to suit your pallet.
A great thing about Castle Catina is they’ve got some great entertainment going on! They’ve got
awesome live music, appearances from master magician Steve Charette, and Princess Elsa and Princess
Jasmine, are known to make an appearance - Alternative. Even Santa Clause himself made an
appearance on December 14th along with his lovely wife, hard-working elves, and that loveable ole green

We left our bellies full and bid The Castle “Adios!” and made plans to return soon. To sum it all up, Castile Cantina is a foodie destination worth seeking out in for the food, entertainment, and off-thecharts nostalgic factor.
