I have dealt with depression most of my adult life and had countless friends and family members struggle with mental health and substance abuse issues. This last year has shed light on so many of our worlds woes, especially ones that we’ve collectively tried to keep in the dark. It’s high time we have these hard but necessary conversations and be more vulnerable and open with each other with open hearts and open minds.

This cover is dedicated to Elliott Smith; my mother and father; my sisters Hannah, Emma, and Liz; Jeffrey Vachon and his father Dennis, as well as his brother Rylan and their whole family; my cousin Erica and all the Sandler and Toabe families; my wife Heloísa and the Amigas who have helped me stay sane during the pandemic; Napoleon Kofi; my bandmates; the Boston music scene; and my therapist.

Voice Memo The April Fifth Project

Dedicating this to Jimi, to my dad who always played the best blues music for me growing up, including lots of musicians that turned on Jimi, and to my Grama, who's been gone three years today. We all love and miss you, Grama!
