Old Skool Scratch Practice

As we did before here is another example as a soundcloud exclusive. While we are working on our new records and some other projects, we want to leave some songs here that either didn't make it on one of the albums or turned into a B-Side/Remix.

We feel very blessed as a small act to have already collabed with so many talented and great people, and even when we experience rough times, things always move forward somehow.

Blackness Of Night (Live - Clara Thadea)

The band Flocke recently asked me if I could contribute cuts and scratches for one of their new songs. I met 2 of the members over a year ago when we were jamming in a park and when I heard the song I agreed to do it despite not having much time. The song is about how generic and plastic many songs are today, and how some artists you liked before change their music just for success, and then you wonder what happened? I uploaded this part here for a certain online DJ workshop where I will talk about the collaboration and how important communication and time management is. It was a bit of a back and forth, with some misunderstandings and then suddenly massive time pressure. The cuts I had placed in the chorus and shortly after were already done at the time, but there wasn't enough time to finish the outro even though I tried. There's a line of text in the song that I always keep in the back of my mind when I'm doing the outro scratches, which translates to something like: "rather art with a soul than plastic music" and I wanted to incorporate that into the scratch patterns.

Triumphant At Last

After an advanced workshop for young adults about video game music, our guest tutor gave our lecturer “dj stonegate” exactly 60 minutes to create a video about his favorite games on Steam plus a matching beat that sounds a bit like video games from back then ;)
The challenge was accepted and implemented in an exemplary manner, here is the result. We all had a lot of fun!!!
