it’s happening, i’m uploading, and it’s a song that i actually recorded vocals to, let’s go. last time I was brave enough for vocals it was purposely 100% autotune but this isn't pitch corrected hardly at all. i have like- maybe 5 songs fully ready with lyrics i just haven’t recorded so hopefully I get to work on those soon.
this song has been done for almost 2 years exactly, the title and some of the lyrics were my friend’s idea but she’s not a songwriter so i did it instead.
sorry about the complete lack of uploading and upkeep to my page. i just have fallen out of the habit of songwriting mostly. “i haven’t said my line yet” is actually the most recent song i’ve totally finished and that was a year ago, so. maybe i’ll get around to finally recording some vocals for the 2 i’ve written since.

A little lo-fi song I finally got around to finishing. I’ve had it in mind to use this sample for months
Also, special thanks to my bearded dragon, who allowed us to record running our nails on her back. I used it for subtle “vinyl scratches”. She also sat with me the whole time I wrote this and fell asleep on my shoulder. 
More material will come soon, I’ve been on a writing spree.

a Lo-Fi song with a hint of electronic this time. I sampled Walt Disney again, but I just liked this audio too much not to use. It’s from a television broadcast explaining the making of the Jungle Cruise.
This girl is not my usual cover art, but I thought the picture was just too good not to use. I took the liberty of blurring her face, just in case her parents weren’t alright with me using her likeness.
More tracks are coming soon. (I promise I’ll try to sample other things.)

So this is not what i said I would release. The album art still isn’t finished and this is just something I whipped up after spending some time with my muse again. This is an electro-bop with a sampled bass. I may release a version with spoken word or vocal chops in there, it depends if I ever find something to put in, but I think this version is good.

Electronic Lo-Fi, I think. Kind of starting a new era in music. A lot of violin and weird effects. The first violin is taken from a 1960's hair gel commercial. Also have a power down type sound from freesound and layered it over. Big thanks to peepholecircus for that. More music should come pretty soon. I may have plans for an EP. Did the album art myself this time, from a collage of old photos I found at a trade show in Glendale, KY.

sorry it's been so long. I bought a keyboard and a kitten. The latter likes to walk across the former while i'm trying to work. it's great.
but i got that little warble in the lead by learning to use a pitch wheel for the first time :D i'm very excited about it. I have two more songs lined up to post so we'll see how quickly i forget about them. 
the background noise is from a walk with my neices to the park, and a conversation between two employees in a homegoods.

i havent said my line yet

I've been waiting to post this song for 11 months. I wrote it about my four cousins, three girls and one boy, (their ages range from 4 and a half to 8 months), who my aunt and uncle have been fostering for almost 2 years. Today they were just cleared by the judge to begin the adoption proceedings. There's been a lot of worrying and what-ifs but we were able to finally let it go and celebrate our new family. We're all within walking distance so we were comfortable getting together with certain precautions.
This song to me, encompasses all the feelings the whole extended family feel about those kids. There's so much love there that they wouldn't have experienced in their former home. I wanted to share this song and this news to anyone who needs it. It was important to me that I released it only when we had some good news. I'm looking forward to watching them all grow up into beautiful people.

for the first time in 2 years I'm posting something while my own vocals in it. autotune is my friend here. I guess I don't need it but it makes me feel better and I like the aesthetic for this song. 
Thanks so much to EP Beats for collaborating with me on this one- I did the instrumental tracks themselves, the female vocals, the vocal arrangement and he did the drums, the instrumental arrangement, and the male vocals/rap. We're probably gonna collaborate again, I really like the way our voices sound together.
